Jay-Z and Kanye West - Otis (Watch The Throne)
I'm a bit obsessed with rap at the moment, even more so after watching "How Rap Changed The World" on Channel 4 yesterday.. and this has made me adore this song! The video especially makes it such a fun and amazing song! I think Professor Green put it best.. "Hiphop is learning to smile"

Dappy - No Regrets
As annoying as I find Dappy and his bloody stupid hats, he is fucking talented.

Les Miserable - Empty Chairs at Empty Tables
I love musicals, they are my favourite thing in the world, and Les Mis is arguably the best musical of all time. This song holds so much emotion and really does tell the tale of lost friends and lost causes. It's so sad and wistful and that is what makes Les Mis the phenomenon that it has become.
Vampire Weekend - Campus
I adore Vampire Weekend and this song is the typical them, it's so bouncy and the perfect song for a sunny day in my opinion. It's almost impossible not to sing along to this song whilst bouncing your feet, and that's obviously the sign of the perfect song!
Emeli Sande - Kill The Boy (Acoustic)
This woman is so so talented, this is such an amazing song! There really isn't anything more to say about it, just listen.

Adele - Someone Like You (Live)
This song literally describes my life, in fact the whole of Adele's catalogue describes my life... She's fantastic and I love her foreverrrr

Lady Gaga - Edge of Glory
Controversial opinion coming up - I do not like Lady Gaga. Now I'm not saying that she isn't good, there is no disputing that she can sing, I just don't understand where this cult following has come from.  Her lyrics and music are nothing that we haven't seen before, and let's be honest her lyrics, especially in this song, are not that innovative. I will happily sing along to gaga, but become a 'little monster'? No thanks.

Maroon 5 - Moves Like Jagger (Featuring Christina Aguilera)
I make it no secret that Adam Levine does lovely things to me, his voice makes me inexplicably happy and I think I may be slightly in love with him. I adore the beat to this song, but it disappoints me as a Maroon 5 song, it's very different to their other stuff and I'm not entirely certain that that's a good thing. The addition of Christina Aguilera just makes me want to cry, I could tolerate the song until she popped up. There's a time and place Christina, and this song is not it.
Collin McLoughlin - Stereo Hearts (Gym Class Heroes Cover)
Jay Norton - Forever
So I put these two songs together because they remind me so much of each other. Collin McLoughlin's mash up of Stereo Hearts and The Lazy Song is so beautiful and I could listen to it all day, its so serene. Jay Norton is also so amazing and I've been listening to his stuff for a while as he's a friend of a friend, I'm not ashamed to say that I've belted out this tune many a time and perhaps even recorded a video of it... It's so good I can't even be embarrased!
Jamie Woon - Lady Luck
I think Jamie Woon may have been born a complete genius, they way his chilled voice sounds laid over those beats is so unexpected but so utterly brilliant. He is my number one music crush at the moment and I can't wait to see what direction in music he decides to conquer next.
Ghostpoet - Cash and Carry Me Home
This is so amazing, the way it sound as if he recorded the whole song whilst drunk or high adds an incredible level to this song, making it as if he literally did have to be carried home after the night before. A new favourite of mine definitely!
Rizzle Kicks - Down With the Trumpets
OUT NOW iTunes: http://bit.ly/otSMot

So I first discovered Rizzle Kicks through a friend, and immediately spent the entire day working through the their past youtube videos. They are genius personified with their beats and their lyrics aren't as pretentious as you expect some rap artists to be, they appear to be staying true to their roots both with their music and their videos. Rizzle Kicks are definitely my favourite band of the moment and I can only hope that they continue to be so amazing!
